Olympics Mascots
These people were the 2012 mascots for the Olympics and they are going to be the 2016 mascots for Rio de Janeiro. There names are Vinicius and Tom and they can be found on all of the advertisements. They are away's running around looking for attention from the people at the Olympics and showing off. These two are amazing people that go around chairing the people that are doing the Olympics

Hi Zack,
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Day 2 of the Winter Learning Journey. I see that you've posted a picture of the mascots from the London Olympic Games in 2012. They are pretty cool looking, aren't they? I completely agree with you that they are also quite important to the games and have a special role to play in terms of making people clap and cheer for the athletes.
At the Olympic games this year in Rio, they have actually created two brand new athletes named Tom and Vinicius. They are a slightly different shape and colour to the London Olympic mascots. If you'd like to learn more about them, please hop onto the Winter Learning Journey site and go to Day 2, Activity 1. You can watch some videos of Tom and Vinicius and write a short summary of the video to earn points!
Cheers, Rachel
