caterpillar and butterfly

This is about the life cycle of a Monarch butterfly.  The life cycle starts as a tiny egg. Changes through different stages, turns inside out and becomes a butterfly.

The egg

The life cycle begins with the female butterfly attaching the egg on a milk weed plant. She lays her baby egg on a leaf on a milk weed plant. Because it maybe fall and crack open.

The caterpillar  

When the caterpillar hatches it is small and tiny. This is the  worm like stage. The caterpillar has  black and yellow stripes. It eats lots to grow big and fat to shed its skin four or more times before it turns into a pupa.

Chrysalis

A chrysalis is a hard as a rock. It come out with wing to fly. And it turn in to a butterfly.

A caterpillar turns into a butterfly. The butterfly has a tana to drink flowers.  It stars with its wings flapping in the air.
