Fast Rust Task

Fast Rust Task
Rust

Walt: Write something that is about rust.
Task
Work on this Doc together with a partner.

What 3 ingredients are needed for rust to occur.
Iron
Water
oxygen

Write a brief paragraph explaining the rusting process (why rusting occurs)
The Rusting process is created by The iron surface of the nail reacts with the oxygen mixed in the water it forms iron oxide and Iron oxide reacts with the water It forms hydrated iron oxide –the red stuff we call “rust”.

How could you prevent something from rusting?
You can paint it with any kind of paint that you have or buy

You can put oil on it to prevent it from rusting

You can also spray on wax to prevent it from also rusting and keep it out of the water out of oxygen if you can and salt so it doesn't rust again

Write 3 sentences explaining something new you’ve learned from this reading.
Did you know that rust can eat steel and rust is also stronger than steel but can crumble if you touch it .And also do you know that rust comes from water that hits the steel it start’s to rust. We learnt from this experiment that oxygen and h2o water can make rust but if you put h2o water with Nacl it will rust better than oxygen and h2o

States of Matter

Planning:
What: This is my states of matter doc that I’m doing and I’m going to explain what is matter
Why: To show how much I know the states of matter.
How: By posting this on my blog and sharing it with my class

Matter is: Weight, Space)-(Weight is something that is heavy)-(Space is something that is a filled with nothing. Three states of matter are: Solids, Liquids & Gases)-(Solids is something hard like a rock)( Liquids are something that is watery or slimy like a egg)( Gases is something that you can’t see for example oxygen.
Air is matter because when you blow up a balloon it can’t fit into a small box because it takes up more space than the box. Weight - a blown up balloon weighs more than one with no air in it. Matter can be anything hard, soft, any colour, any texture or even invisible. People think mass and weight are the same. In space the weight is a lot lighter. Atoms are hard to see and you need a microscope)( if you cut one piece of salt again, again, again and it can end up being a atom)( If you put the atoms together it can end out being a molecules and a molecule is bigger.
Matter is anything that has mass and takes up space. All matter is made up of tiny particles called atoms. Atoms can be broken down into even smaller building blocks called neutrons.
Every Galaxy, Star and Planet in the universe is made of matter. Atoms  tend to stick together and form groups with other atoms.

Geometry

This is my geometry - introduction to angles and lines presentation that I have
done. I have completed all the questions in the presentation.

My Extension Olympics

Zacks Extenson Olmpic Games from Team 4 Pes on Vimeo.
This is my Extension olympic video that I have done. I have put information on it to show you what I have been working on. I have been working on hero's and technology. My hero is Michael Phelps because he is a very fast swimmer in the 200 metre butterfly and has won a total of 28 gold medal from the 200 metre butterfly.

My Science Experiment

Title -
Purpose: What do you want to learn/find out?
What would happen if we put baking soda in vinegar?

Hypothesis: Try to predict the answer to the problem. Another term for hypothesis is ‘educated guess’. This is usually stated like ” If I…(do something) then…(this will occur)
If I put vinegar with baking soda something is going to happen and I think it might fizz?

Materials: List everything you will need to conduct your experiment.
I will be using baking soda, vinegar and cups

Experiment procedure: The fun part! Design a test or procedure to confirm or disprove your hypothesis. Write down each step so that someone else could do the same experiment.
1. Pour as much vinegar as you want into four cups
2. Then get you baking soda you can have different kinds of colours if you want
3. Then pour one cup at a time into different colours and it will fizz
4. You can end up with amazing colours and that is the experiment

Analysis/Data: Record what happened during the experiment.
When we were doing the experiment me and my mates got four small cups. They were filled with vinegar, we got baking soda and it was different kind of colours. We had put one cup at a time and it look amazing. The colours were fizzing and the we had put it all into one big cup and it made a green colour.

Conclusion:Review the data and check to see if your hypothesis was correct.
I was right. If you put vinegar into baking soda it would change into a colour that is fizzing.

Science

This is my science presentation that I have done with Josh and Chris. We are
experimenting on burgers because we found out that a cheeseburger from MC
Donalds have looked the same for 14 year. How amazing is that! So we did
burgers and we trying to see if the burgers will rot is stay the same.

Rewriting Instruction

Instructions should have clear, simple steps so you don’t confuse the person reading them.
Can you make these various instructions easier to understand?

Pick up an egg, gently hit it against the side of a bowl and empty the contents into a clean bowl.
Get a egg, gently hit it on the bowl and pour the contents into a new bowl
Open the fridge and take out the butter. Take off the lid. Get a knife and use it to scoop some butter. Rub the knife onto the toast.
Open the fridge and get the butter. Take the lid off. Get a butter knife and use it to get some butter. Rub it onto a piece of toast.
Hold the two shortest sides of paper and bend them together. Squeeze them so that the paper is now in half.
Just fold the paper in half
When you hear the sound of the whistle, move one leg in front of the other as quickly as you can.
When you hear a whistle move one leg in front of your other leg as fast as you can.
When player One had rolled the die, they should hand it to player Two, who should then roll it too. The person with the highest score moves their counter first.
So if you roll the dice and it lands on a six then on the card board game you move 6 spots.
If you want to turn on the computer, look for the round, lack power button and press it once.
On the computer there is a turn on button find it and turn the computer on
Hold the handles of the scissors and cut along the dotted line, making sure you don’t hurt yourself.
Stick your fingers through the holes that is on the scissors then you cut the paper along the dotted lines so you don’t hurt yourself
Before you start mixing the ingredients, switch on the oven and turn the dial to 140 degrees.
Don’t forget to turn on the oven to 140 degrees before you mix your ingredients together
Take the lid off the glue stick and rub the glue on the tab, being careful not to get any glue on your clothes.
Take off the lid on the glue stick and start rubbing glue on where you want to rub it
When you have planted your seed, pick up the pot and move it it near to a window where it will get lots of sunlight.
When the seed is planted pick up a pot and take it to the closest window where it can get some sun light
