Researching World War 1

List some questions that you would like answered?

  1. what place did they battle
  2. what team start the fight
  3. how many kiwis died in the war
  4. what did they do to win the war
  5. how many people were injured
  6. how many country fight in the world war 1

why is today special? because its been 100 years when the world war 1 started at 1914 and today its 2014. More than 18500 kiwis died and over 40,000 men and women were injured. A lot of them had to use a  walking stick when the war ended because of their injuries.

2 facts: More than 65 million men from 30 countries fought in WWI. Nearly 10 million died. The Allies (The Entente Powers) lost about 6 million soldiers. The Central Powers lost about 4 million. Germans were the first to use flamethrowers in WWI. Their flamethrowers could fire jets of flame as far as 130 feet (40 m).
I thought that more kiwi died then get injured i think that they were the best kiwis.
