Inference

This is my inference slides and I have been reading at least 3 stories and
solving question. This was a good piece of work they I had to do.

The Case of the Phantom Tagger

The case of the phantom tagger is a story about a problem happening when
somebody tag's in the game area. 3 boys were in the gaming room and
inspectors Edwards was on a holiday and had to find out who tagged.

The Mobile Garden

I have read the book Mobile garden and the presentation that I have done is got
all the information that I need to complete. I have made my own mobile thing
and its on the last slide and its a siren that turned into a siren that moves around.

The strength of roots

This strength of roots is a story all about a book when a tree save's a boys life
and the roots saved him. He was hanging from the tree and people were
searching for survives.

A Book Review

This is my book review about Harry Potter the book and I have been showing
what I have reed about in the book. The book I'm talking about is Harry Potter
and the Deadly Hallows. Harry Potter is one of the books and movies that I like
to read and watch and more book and movies.

Kynan

Walt: find specific evidence in the text 

This week we have been working on a story that a kid name Kynan's is
working for money. We had to make a padlet and write what Kynan  had to
do for his job and then we made a other one. And we had to write about the
all the thing he did in the story.

The Ski Trip

I have been working with my friends and have been finding how to get money
for the ski trip and this boys name Anthony. And he is trying to go to the ski
trip but he needed help so he called his friend to help him get money from
people by doing jobs for them. They had been putting a post saying Anthony's mail and phone number so someone can call them if they need to do there lawns or weeds.

My P.T Job

P.E.N.N

If I wanted a job I would apply to do P.E.N.N because I get hooked on really fast and can do simple questions. I want to do it because learning new things makes me work more every time and I get better. I am trustworthy because I am not lazy and can do what I am told to do. When you work on P.E.N.N you can get 50 pieces or more if you do this job and can earn up to 2 P.Ts in a week

I will be good for the job because I am responsible to do this job and will never be late. I can do it when I am told to do it  before P.E.N.N starts for the kids to watch every day.

I can be quick at doing jobs because I am focussed on getting more P.Ts because I can win more prizes.

Define Vocab

My group the pavalovas have been working on creating a definition word and
had to find works and Example, Opposite, parts of the word, complex and
photo. I have picked words from the story that my group my read for this week
and got Erosion, Hurricane snady, Globe Warming and Cyclone. I have learnt
about creating a definition and using words are finding out about there things.

This is a padlet that pavlovas have been working on this we were looking at scientist and the S.E.M and the S.E.M stands for Scientist electoral microscope. We had to bold our words so you know what we are talking about in ths story. I have learnt that you can only see with any microscope because a magnifying glass can only see up to 100 and a microscoope can see up to 1000.

WALT: Write an explanation using simple no complex sentences
I have learnt that you can use little sentience in your writing and add me detail to your writing. I know now
that you can put small sentences in the begin and, middle and end.

Designing a playground

I have made a presentation with Hendrix my friend and have to design our own playground for our school pt England to play on when it is morning tea and lunch time. After we are done we have to get our whole group and put together our ideas and make our own park for school. We had chose some of ideas from some sites and images from searching fro playground. Then we had to design our own playground and put more detail in to it and then make our final design.

Comparing Auckland to Christchurch

WALT: finding comparisons and differences between items and provide proof.

What I have learnt is comparing Auckland to Christchurch and finding what they have and don't have in Auckland and Christchurch. I have been working with my ground pavlovas and looking at the differences and similarities. Next time I want to work on my juicy words and make them clearer for my readers to read it.

ANZAC Writing and Reflection

 On Friday the 25th of April we had a very special Assembly for ANZAC. Mr Burt took us out to show us our special Remembrance field to remember the soldiers who fought for our freedom. They sacrificed their lives to keep peace in this world from all the bad things that happened in world war 1. When all of the kids got to the Remembrance field we had to have a moment of silence to show respect and honour those who fought for us in the war. Then people started praying for all the luck that they have been given to us in this world. And then the trumpet started playing for a moment to finish the end of the assembly.

Did you know that in World War 1 they did not only have soldiers in the army but they had different types of animals to help with things like carry ammunition, pull guns and carry wagons. Dogs were used also to help send messages, to help search for wounded soldiers and carry medicine. Dogs were a better choice to use because they were faster and more quicker than a soldier, so they would have more of a chance to survive if they had to run across the battlefield to send a message to the others. If someone got caught they would let them go because people didn't want to kill others. They would just surrender and send them back to have peace.

At our Special Assembly we had some of our students and teachers wearing poppies to show the remembrance of those who had served for us. Poppies were the first flowers that blossomed in the spring during 1915 on the battlefields when the war had ended. Poppies are worn as a symbol in memory of those who had fought and died for us during the world war 1. It was the inspiration and dedication of two women who promoted this same “Memorial Flower” funds were raised to help support those in need, especially servicemen and civilians suffering from physical and mental hardship as a result of war.

What I have learnt about ANZAC is that in New Zealand ANZAC is marked as a national public holiday, which everybody has a day off to remember those who fought for us in World War 1 . And dogs in world war one they can very help because they help the people that

were wounded in World war 1 and carry things.

I am very proud that I have improved my sentence beginnings in my writing. The first thing I did well was my vocabulary and content because I added lots of Juicy words. I like my paragraph rubric because all my marks are very high. I am happy that I had a good mark.

I have realised that I should have worked on my Planning. My planning has only got 1 or 2 things on my plan and I think I need to do more. I need to work on my Planning and my words very well so I can get a high test mark for my report.

My goal for my next piece of writing is to use a variety of sentences because I want to have more Juicy words. I want to have juicy words so I can keep my audience hooked in.  So next time I will work on writing clearly for my readers.

ANZAC Poster

This is my ANZAC poster that I have put together with photos
and information to show things about ANZAC. I have been
finding out with my group Redbands about Archibald Baxter
and his story his own war. I have found out lots of things in
his story and have put them on my poster for  my blog.
